Post Consult International (PCI) is a subsidiary of An Post, founded in 1997 to provide development and consultancy services to our parent company and a wide variety of other organisations in Ireland. Staff numbers have risen from 18 in 1997 to 100 in the present day, as the company has grown rapidly through diversification.

PCI have a strong track record in implementing securely integrated, innovative solutions for our customers in a variety of environments.

We are comprised of four divisions:

PCI Corporate Governance

Maintaining high standards of corporate governance continues to be a priority for the directors of PCI. The Department of Finance Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and the UK Combined Code are the foundations on which their corporate governance policy is based.

The directors are accountable to the shareholders for good corporate governance, and the An Post Annual Report addresses how the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and the relevant main and supporting principles of the 2003 Combined Code have been applied within the An Post group of companies.


Codes of Conduct
Employees and directors of PCI operate to very high standards of fairness, transparency and honesty. The Codes of Conduct for Directors and Employees formally set out the standards of behaviour, transparency and honesty expected of Directors and Employees of PCI.

PCI Awards

An Post.ie developed by PCI snaps up the Esat BT Golden Spider Award.

Esat BT judging representatives awarded the An Post.ie website on excellence in technology and appealing graphical content. It is an honour to both An Post and PCI to receive this prestigious award. PCI employ best practice design and usability principles and the technologies necessary to support the business goals and objectives of all its customers. The Esat BT Golden Spider Awards 2003 took place on 2nd October at a gala black tie awards ceremony and dinner at the Burlington Hotel.

World Mail e-Messaging Award 2002

An Post beat off tough international competition to take a premier award at the prestigious World Mail Award ceremony in Amsterdam. An Post was one of three postal operators shortlisted in the e-Messaging category of the competition and won the award for Billpay.ie, its electronic bill presentment and payment system.

Golden SpiderAwards Shortlist for 2002

The Golden Spider for Best Financial Website is awarded to the site or online service which has succeeded in clearly delivering finance-related products, services or advice to an online audience. An Post's Billpay.ie has been shortlisted under this category.

www.sds.ie.has been shortlisted for the prestigious Best e-business Award Awarded. This award is given to the Irish site which has harnessed the opportunities provided by the Internet in the most effective way to improve its business to business communications.
